Born in Cuba and now based in Southern California, Yurien Zamora is a sculptor who discovered sculpture as his most authentic form of expression at the age of ten.
He began his artistic journey as a self-taught creator and later received formal training at the Wilfredo Lam School of Fine Arts, where he graduated in sculpture.

His work is distinguished by his mastery of materials such as wood, ceramic, stone, marble, clay, iron, and precious metals—each piece exploring the possibilities of form and texture. Deeply inspired by realism and classical sculpture, Yurien often incorporates the expressive strength of Cubism and the creative freedom of abstraction, resulting in pieces that engage in a dialogue between tradition and modernity.

He is recognized for his commitment to sustainability, deliberately choosing responsible materials and avoiding wood treated with industrial chemicals that cannot be recycled and come from nonrenewable sources. This choice reflects his environmental awareness and his dedication to a conscious artistic practice.

The diversity of techniques and styles present in his work reflects his artistic vision: a constant search for balance between the tangible and the conceptual, the eternal and the contemporary.
